Summary
This notice covers the cookies and similar browser storage used by Desktop Accounting API, operated by NMAJOR STUDIOS LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics services. The website sets no cookies until you open support chat. The dashboard and the hosted setup flow use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect your session.
Website
Marketing pages on www.desktopaccountingapi.com count page views with our self-hosted Rybbit analytics. The counter is part of our own website code. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser: no visitor identifier, no local storage and no session storage. Each page load sends one page view without the page's query string; our analytics server counts visits using a salted hash that changes daily, so a visit cannot be linked to you or to a later day's visit. Analytics does not run at all when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
Support chat
Live chat runs on our self-hosted Chatwoot installation. Nothing loads from it, and none of these items are set, until you open the chat. Once you do, the chat sets cookies on our website and stores data inside the chat window, which is served from chatwoot.nmajor.net, so you can return to your conversation.

Documentation
The documentation at /docs sets no cookies and does not load analytics. It uses browser storage for two preferences:

The API playground keeps any key you type in memory only. It never writes the key to storage, cookies or the address bar.
Dashboard
The dashboard at /dashboard uses strictly necessary cookies. They are HttpOnly, sent only over HTTPS, limited to the /dashboard path and not shared with other sites.

Hosted setup flow
connect.desktopaccountingapi.com is where your customers connect QuickBooks. It loads no third-party scripts and no analytics.

Your choices
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, and the dashboard and setup flow cannot work without them. For everything else:
- turn on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser to stop page-view counting;
- clear cookies and site data for desktopaccountingapi.com and chatwoot.nmajor.net in your browser settings at any time; and
- use the contact form rather than live chat.
