# Changelog
Source: https://www.desktopaccountingapi.com/docs/platform/changelog/

> Changes to the Desktop Accounting API, SDKs, setup flow, dashboard and documentation, newest first.

We change `v1` only in additive ways: new operations, new optional request fields, new response fields, new enum values, new error codes and new webhook event types. Your code should accept fields and enum values it does not know. Breaking changes would ship as `/v2`, with `/v1` kept running for at least 12 months after that. See [Using the API](https://www.desktopaccountingapi.com/docs/api/#versioning).

## API v1

The first public release.

**API**

- 275 operations: end users, auth sessions, requests, webhook endpoints, health check, passthrough, and 254 QuickBooks Desktop operations across 62 resource types, including 10 report families.
- Request resources with statuses, waiting reasons, timelines, timings, native QuickBooks status codes, warnings and a ranked diagnosis of probable causes (`GET /v1/requests`, `GET /v1/requests/{id}` with `waitSeconds` long polling, `POST /v1/requests/{id}/cancel`).
- Async mode with `Prefer: respond-async` and a configurable queue lifetime.
- `Idempotency-Key` on every write, with stored replays and explicit `outcome` on every write result.
- Cursor pagination with `cursorExpiresAt`, replay of the latest page and `410 CURSOR_EXPIRED` with progress details.
- Structured errors with `cause`, `fixes`, `retryable`, `outcome`, `param`, `details` and `docsUrl`, from one catalog of 65 codes, also published as JSON.
- Signed webhooks following the Standard Webhooks specification, with an endpoint API, delivery log and resend.
- `POST /v1/end-users/{id}/reset-company-file` for moved, renamed or replaced company files.

**SDKs**

- TypeScript, Python, C# / .NET and Java, generated from the same OpenAPI document, with typed errors, safe retries, idempotency keys and auto-pagination.

**Setup flow and dashboard**

- Hosted setup flow with live connection checks and plain-language fixes.
- Dashboard with projects, API keys, end users, setup links, test connection, request log, webhooks, team roles and billing.

**Documentation**

- Guides, generated API reference, error code reference, SDK guides and an end-user help center.
